2025 UNRBHR FORUM

Anchoring Progress and Strengthening Regional Leadership on Human Rights through Crisis

16-19 September 2025  |  Bangkok, Thailand

The 2025 UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum convened a diverse group of stakeholders in Bangkok, reinforcing its role as Asia-Pacific’s leading platform for advancing responsible business. Held under the theme “Anchoring Progress and Strengthening Regional Leadership on Human Rights through Crisis,” the Forum responded to a shifting landscape shaped by geopolitical tensions, evolving regulatory approaches, and growing contestation around ESG and human rights standards.

Discussions examined persistent regional challenges – including climate impacts, inequality, digital disruption, and shrinking civic space – while highlighting emerging trends such as the development of National Action Plans, exploration of mandatory measures, and increased demand for ESG guidance. Bringing together governments, businesses, and civil society, the Forum fostered dialogue, centred affected voices, and reinforced regional momentum toward stronger accountability and rights-based approaches.
